Challenges

Until very recently the network and security operations for Naive Plus Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, an Independent Software Vendor (ISV), were two distinct and separate entities. But the company's Managing Director, Mr. Prasad B.K was looking for an able partner who can help to centralize their IT tools and streamline event correlation, performance monitoring, and security information management.

As a leading core banking IT Solution provider offering services to more than 600 banks across India, it was challenging for them to manage their IT infrastructures and its related operations. The main value of the bank is the data and the knowledge of client data requires a number of regulatory constraints. This creates legal and operational risks associated with the fact that the bank at any time must to monitor client Data and ensure their confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility.

In addition, another problematic issue they were facing was the low efficiency of using hardware resources which results in high costs and time spent on maintaining the IT ecosystem.

Time to Market was another major challenge during their exponential growth. Operational costs & time while onboarding new banks need to be mitigated to achieve their 4X growth plan.

They were evaluating Azure cloud transformation and their major focused areas were,

Solutions

We have built a fault-tolerant system catering primary and secondary in different locations. Configured DR using Azure Site Recovery and automated Infra provisioning and test environments using Azure ARM templates.

We have re-platformed MSSQL Database clusters (600 databases) to the Azure PaaS model. We have created custom PowerShell scripts to automate client onboarding processes.

We have adopted phase by phase migration strategies.

(i) MRA - We used a mixture of software tools and consulting best practices to discover current configuration, People who will be impacted by the migration, Application Dependency, TCO analysis. (ii) MRP - Validate foundational migration capabilities and plan application migration strategies and tools which can be leveraged to achieve desired migration goals. (iii) Migration - Designing, POC, Migration, Integration & Validation.

We, a Microsoft Azure Silver Partner, started our engagement through MSP programs. Naive Plus was looking for a Microsoft recognized partner who has strong skills in Azure Cloud, DevOps, & Automation. We are now a trusted cloud partner of Naive Plus handling their end to end cloud operations providing 24/7 support.

Results with Crozaint

Crozaint successfully migrated 600+ banks from the on-premises datacenter to Azure. Crozaint helped Naiveplus reduce its Azure bill by 37% with cost visibility and optimization. The Time to Market (TTM) was reduced by 70% with enhanced Data Protection and Security.

This was the first Microsoft PaaS model adoption performed in the BFSI sector across pan - India. Crozaint was honored by the Microsoft India team for this accomplishment.

Crozaint continues to work with Naivplus towards a total transformation to the SaaS model which will further decrease their cost and enhance operations through automation and to make sure their Azure infrastructure is optimized for cost, security, reliability, availability, and scale.
